Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The CNA
program consists of classroom, laboratory and clinical experiences. The students
will be trained in providing basic care to patients who are in extended care
facilities, hospitals and home health care agencies. Graduates of the CNA
program are eligible to take the Indiana State Department of Health exam to
become a Certified Nursing Aid. This program is 40 hours of Class room and
80 hours Clinical.

Heating Ventilation Air
Conditioning (HVAC)

The HVAC
program is designed to provide a practical understanding of the basics of air
conditioning and refrigeration theory with the principles of heating and
ventilation. Training can be applied to residential, industrial or commercial
equipment.

Phlebotomy Technician
(call for class start
date, time and location)
The primary
responsibility of a phlebotomist is to obtain blood specimens from clients for
the purpose of laboratory analysis. This requires the phlebotomist to become
familiar with all aspects related to the blood collection process. The focus of
this training program is to provide the students with the comprehensive skills
to be able to perform vein punctures competently and safely. Instruction will
cover medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, blood collection procedures,
specimen communication skills and professionalism. Students will have hands-on
lab practice sessions to learn the skills and techniques to perform the required
puncture methods. Upon successful completion of the requirements of both
theory and clinical components, the student is eligible to apply for phlebotomy
certification from three nationally recognized certifying bodies.
